Who we are

Calorieverse is a small calorie and food-logging app made by Hani Shaheen in Dubai, UAE. Questions about this page or your data: hello.verseapps@gmail.com.

What we store

  • Your sign-in: the name and email on the Google account you sign in with. We never see your Google password.
  • Your setup: the name you choose, weight, height, age, sex, activity level and daily targets.
  • Your log: the foods you add, with their calories and macros, the days and weeks they belong to, and the weights you record.
  • Your preferences: language, theme and text size.

Who can see it

  • You. Your full log is private to your account.
  • Your friends, only if you add each other, see a weekly card: your name, streak, days logged, days on target and whether you hit protein. Never your foods, calories or weight.
  • The developer. To help you and improve the app, a copy of your log is shared with the developer by default. You can turn this off any time in You → Settings, and the shared copy is deleted.
  • Nobody else. We don't sell your data, show ads, or share it with advertisers.

Services we use

  • Supabase stores your account and log in a secure cloud database.
  • Netlify hosts the app's website.
  • Google handles sign-in.
  • Automatic estimates: when you use the Estimate button, the food description you type is sent to an AI service (currently OpenAI) to work out calories and macros. Nothing else from your log is sent, and it isn't linked to your name or email.

Health information

Calorieverse gives estimates to help you track food. It isn't medical advice. If you have a health condition, talk to a doctor or dietitian before changing how you eat.

Your choices

  • Download your data: You → Backup saves your full log as a file.
  • Delete your account: email hello.verseapps@gmail.com from the email you sign in with, and we'll delete your account and everything in it within 30 days.

If this page changes in a way that matters, we'll tell you inside the app first.
